Getting started

Your first 90 days: what to switch on first

The studio can run every channel at once; a small business should not. Start with one place you own and one or two where your buyers already are, keep them going for three months, then add the next. A starting plan for an app, a service business and a creator.

Why not everything at once

Each channel needs your eye on its drafts and about three months to show what it can do. Two channels done every week beat seven done for a fortnight. Keep on the seats your plan needs; a seat that is off spends nothing, and its settings wait for later. Which seats are awake depends on your plan — see AI team.

The shape of a good start

  • One place you own — your site's articles or your email list. It keeps working when a network changes its rules.
  • One or two places your buyers already are — where they ask questions, scroll, or look for someone like you.
  • One number to steer by — your twelve-month target, checked every month.

If you sell an app or online software

  1. Week 1

Make the homepage say what it does

Correct Your report, connect Google, and make the quick fixes on your homepage and pricing page first. A visitor who cannot tell what you do in five seconds will not sign up, whichever channel brought them.

  2. Weeks 1–4

Get listed where buyers compare tools

Outreach letters to the launch sites and directories, and the AI assistants check to see whom they recommend in your place.

  3. Months 1–3

    Answer what buyers search

Articles on the questions people ask before they buy, a Welcome sequence for new sign-ups from Email, and one community where your buyers talk — Reddit, LinkedIn or X.

  4. Months 2–3

    Launch, then test ads

A launch once the listings and a few articles are up. Ads come last, on the searches that already bring sign-ups.

If you run a studio or a service business

  1. Week 1

Get the offer and the price right

In Your report, check who buys and what it costs; in In your own words, write who your best clients are and the jobs you are proud of.

  2. Every week

    Show the work

Instagram — or LinkedIn, if you sell to businesses — with A job you just finished after each project, posted together with the client. See Social media.

  3. Month 1

Win the people who send you clients

Most studios grow on referrals. Partners and Circle find the planners, agencies and venues around your clients: warm them up, then pitch.

  4. After each job

    Ask for the review

The After an enquiry and Ask for a review sequences in Email. Reviews are what new clients read first, and what Google and the AI assistants quote.

  5. Months 2–3

    Write the articles clients search

What it costs, how long it takes, how to choose — the questions a client asks before the first call. See Articles.

If you are a creator

  1. Week 1

    Pick one main network

The one where your audience already watches. Hire its manager; on Instagram or TikTok, open the content matrix the set-up built.

  2. Every week

Three to five videos, kept up

Shoot squares from the matrix in batches, and check Trends for the formats breaking out in your niche.

  3. Month 1

Learn from the ones growing fastest

Run Super Spy on two or three accounts in your niche that grow faster than you: what beats their own average, and why.

  4. Months 2–3

    Own your audience

A weekly newsletter from Email, so the people who follow you can still be reached when a network changes its mind.

What can wait

  • Ads — until tracking works and you know which offer sells. Ads make a working offer bigger; they rarely fix one that does not sell.
  • UGC ads — until your posts tell you which first line holds people. Then test that hook with money.
  • God's Eye — until you are ready to act on a roadmap. Super Spy answers most first questions for 25 credits.

How to know it is working

Set your twelve-month target on a number close to money — customers, enquiries or revenue. Look at Results weekly and decide monthly. At 90 days keep what moved the number, stop what did not, and put its credits where they work. Office hours is the place to ask whether you are on the right road.

Questions

Asked about this

How many seats should I keep on?

The ones your starting plan needs — often three or four. Turn the rest off on the AI team page; a seat that is off spends nothing, and its settings stay.

My business is none of these

Take the closest: selling online without a call is the app plan, selling through calls and quotes is the service plan, selling your attention is the creator plan.

Does the studio follow this plan by itself?

The set-up recommends seats for your business, and the CMO's brief names the next move each morning. Which seats stay on is yours to choose.
