How to market a personal finance brand in 2026
Personal finance educators grow through Instagram, YouTube, an email newsletter and Google search. This blueprint sets out what to post and how often, the season, the rules on claims and reviews, and the first 90 days, from 22 sources checked in October 2026.
Core channels:InstagramYouTubeEmail newsletter
Where to show up
Core channels get most of the hours. Support channels get a little. The rest can wait until the core ones work.
| Channel | Role | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Core | Carousels win here. For Financial Services the carousel led Instagram engagement even though Reels were posted more than twice as often; for Influencers carousels led, with photos and Reels close behind (Rival IQ 2025). Instagram says Explore weighs likes, saves and shares (Instagram 2023), and a 'save this' step list is built for exactly that. It is also the cheapest place to give each video idea a second life. | |
| YouTube | Core | Long form is where trust is built: viewers see the numbers on screen, watch for 10 minutes and come back. YouTube ranks search results on relevance, engagement and quality, where quality means signs of expertise, authority and trust (YouTube Help), and money questions are searched constantly. It is slow: ad revenue needs 1,000 subscribers plus 4,000 qualified watch hours in 12 months, or 10 million Shorts views in 90 days (YouTube Help). Make it the anchor only if someone can be on camera or voice a screen recording every week; otherwise anchor on the newsletter and the blog. |
| Email newsletter | Core | The owned asset that turns a viewer into a customer. Business and finance lists in the MailerLite 2025 data (Dec 2024 to Nov 2025) had a 2.37% click rate and 7.96% click-to-open rate, against 2.09% and 6.81% for all industries; unsubscribe averaged 0.22%. Trust click rate over open rate, because Apple Mail marks messages as opened automatically. If time is short, a weekly email plus the blog beats any video channel. |
| TikTok | Support | Same ideas as the Reels, no new shoot. TikTok says follower count is not a direct ranking factor and that captions, sounds, hashtags and interactions are (TikTok 2020), so a small account can be shown. But engagement is thin and falling: TikTok engagement fell 34% across industries, and Influencers' TikTok engagement was 36% below the median (Rival IQ 2025). Treat it as a free repost, not a channel to build around. |
| Support | Worth it only if you sell printables, templates or a budgeting blog, because pins send traffic to a page that answers a planning search. Pinterest's own guide says to plan seasonal moments about two months ahead and lists 'New Year's' among its calendar moments (Pinterest Business 2026). No finance-specific data was read, so test a few keywords in Pinterest Trends before investing time (Pinterest Help). | |
| Support | For the B2B side: employers that buy financial-wellness workshops, and professionals (freelancers, founders, doctors) who want money education written for their situation. No source read on results in this niche, so keep it to one post a week and use it to book workshops. | |
| Support | Money questions are asked at scale here (r/personalfinance about 19M members per a 2026 tracker) and the rules are strict. Use it to listen and to answer without links. In the UK, the FCA says promotional posts on Reddit can be regulated financial promotions, and groups used to steer people into paid courses or private chats where advice is sold are a concern (FG24/1, paras 4.4 and 4.17). | |
| X | Skip | No source read shows buyers of money education arriving from X. Posts that tip investments are where the FCA's financial-promotion rules bite hardest (FG24/1), and the hour is better spent on video and email. |
| Skip | Facebook engagement fell 36% across industries in the 2025 Rival IQ report. A free group for a time-boxed challenge is the one exception; note the FCA treats private groups as covered by its financial-promotion rules (FG24/1 para 2.8). | |
| Threads | Skip | No niche evidence read. Cross-post a text version of the best Instagram caption only if it costs nothing. |
| Quora | Skip | No source read shows buyers of money education using it. |
| Google Business Profile | Skip | Online educators have no storefront. A coach or planner who meets clients in person should add it and follow the local playbook: real-world name with no keywords or taglines (Google Business Profile guidelines), replies to every review (89% of consumers expect them; BrightLocal 2026) and no incentivised reviews or review gating (Google policy). |
Who buys and how they choose
People who feel behind or confused about money and want a clear next step, not a stock tip: paying off debt, building a first emergency fund, starting to invest, planning for a baby, a home or retirement, or handling freelance taxes. They buy from money coaches, finance creators, newsletter writers and course or template sellers. They follow for weeks before paying, they are wary of gurus and scams, and they reward educators who show real numbers, admit what they do not know and send them elsewhere when they need regulated advice.
Trigger: a money shock or milestone (a debt letter, new job, layoff, baby, tax bill, windfall, new year). People then read and watch free content for weeks or months (YouTube, Google, Reddit, newsletters). The first purchase is small and low-risk: a template, a workshop, a paid newsletter tier. Courses and coaching follow only after trust is built. Price sensitivity is high, and so is the fear of being sold to. The decision is personal or shared with a partner; employers sometimes pay for financial-wellness workshops (our judgement, not measured).
Where buyers find businesses like this
- YouTube search and recommendations for how-to and explainer videos — YouTube Help: search ranks on relevance (title, tags, description, content), engagement and quality, where quality means signs of expertise, authority and trust.
- Google search for money questions, a 'Your Money or Your Life' topic — Google Search Central (updated Oct 2026): trust matters most; such content must be accurate and in line with expert consensus; real bylines that link to the author's background.
- Carousels and short video on Instagram, TikTok and Shorts — Rival IQ 2025: for Financial Services, carousels led Instagram engagement even though Reels were posted more than twice as often. TikTok (2020): follower count is not a direct ranking factor. Instagram (2023): Explore weighs likes, saves and shares.
- Reddit threads that rank in Google and shape opinion (r/personalfinance, r/UKPersonalFinance, r/financialindependence) — Tracker figures: r/personalfinance about 19M members (painonsocial 2026); r/UKPersonalFinance 1.9M (GummySearch, Oct 2026). The FCA describes Reddit as a public forum for financial topics (FG24/1, 2024). Promotion there is closely policed.
- Newsletter recommendations, swaps and podcast guesting — Not measured here; our judgement. Typical way a newsletter grows without ads.
- Referrals from accountants, HR and benefits teams, credit unions and libraries — Not measured here; our judgement. Typical for workshops and for people who need tax or debt help first.
The first 90 days
Days 1-7
Write the scope page.
You teach general money skills; you do not recommend named investments to individuals; you refer out. Choose the country whose rules and tax year your content serves. Line up three referral partners: an accountant, a regulated adviser, a non-profit debt-advice service.
Days 1-14
Choose one audience and one problem ('freelancers and quarterly tax', 'paying off credit cards on a nurse's pay').
Build the lead magnet (a budget sheet or calculator), the 5-email welcome series and a 'start here' page.
Days 8-30
Publish four videos, one a week, titled with the four highest-intent questions for that audience.
Cut each into 2 carousels and 1 short video. Post 3 times a week on Instagram.
Days 8-30
Publish two blog guides: a how-to with a worked example, and a deadline or tax page.
Show the author, sources and a 'last checked' date.
Days 15-45
Write the disclosure rule and use it every time: affiliate, sponsor, free product, ad label upfront.
No paid links to regulated products for a UK audience until checked against FG24/1.
Days 30-60
Start the weekly newsletter.
Ask every reader one question per email. Swap with two newsletters of similar size. Pitch five podcasts or local journalists one deadline-based example each.
Days 45-60
Publish the seasonal piece for the next deadline 6-8 weeks ahead.
Days 60-75
Run a free 5- or 7-day email 'money reset' challenge.
Count sign-ups and replies.
Days 75-90
Launch a low-ticket product (template or workshop) to the list with a plain price.
Collect testimonials with written consent and a statement of what is typical.
Day 90
Review the numbers (see KPIs).
Keep the two formats that bring the most subscribers per hour spent. Plan the next quarter's calendar.

Carousels win here.
Rhythm: 3 posts a week: 2 carousels and 1 Reel cut from the video. Stories 3 days a week with a poll or question box. 15 minutes a day on replies.
| Format | Share | How a good one is built |
|---|---|---|
| Numbers carousel (step list) | about 50% | Slide 1: the question or result with the number ('Where should your first $1,000 go?'). Slides 2-7: one step each, with the number or example on the slide. Slide 8: recap and 'save this, send it to someone who needs it'. Caption: the search words and the free template link. — The carousel led Financial Services engagement (Rival IQ 2025). Saves and shares are the signals Instagram names (Instagram 2023). |
| Myth versus fact carousel | about 20% | Slide 1: the myth ('You must be debt-free before you invest'). Slide 2: what is true, and for whom. Slides 3-5: example numbers and one exception. Slide 6: what to do this week. Last slide: the official source. — Corrects a belief people already hold, so it is shared. |
| 30-second Reel: one thing to do today | about 20% | Hook with the action and the time ('Check this one line on your pay slip. 30 seconds.'). Show it on screen. One outcome. Point to the carousel for more. — Reels reach new people through resharing and watching to the end (Instagram 2023). |
| Stories: poll, question box, template drop | about 10% | Monday poll ('what is your biggest money stress?'). Wednesday question box. Friday: the template link sticker. Save answers to Highlights: Start here, Debt, Saving, Tax. — Questions become next week's content. |
What to post about
- Budget and cash flow
- Debt payoff
- Saving and sinking funds
- Tax basics and deadlines for one country
- Money myths with numbers
- Templates and tools
Openings that work
- 'Where should your first $1,000 go? Do these in order.'
- 'The 50/30/20 rule does not work if your rent is 60%. Here is what to do.'
- 'Three bills you can renegotiate this week.'
- 'You do not need to be good with money. You need a system.'
How people find you here: Put the search words in the name field and bio ('Money coach | debt payoff | UK'; not re-checked this round). Write captions in the words people type. Reels spread by reshares. Collab posts with other educators show on each grid; a guide says up to five collaborators and shared likes and comments (Adobe Express, Aug 2025). Do not collab with a broker or trading app unless the content has passed a compliance check.
How a viewer becomes a client: Last slide and caption: the free template. Link in bio goes to the newsletter. A comment-or-DM keyword ('BUDGET') sends the sheet. Never ask followers for account numbers or personal financial details in DMs.
Benchmarks: Rival IQ 2025: all-industry Instagram engagement fell 16% year on year; for Financial Services the carousel led. Influencers' Instagram posting rose nearly 20%, the largest rise of any industry, so attention is getting scarcer. The article prints no median percentages.
Avoid on Instagram
- Hooks or signals that hint at easy money ('DM me to grow your money'). The FCA and ASA checklist for crypto adds: do not suggest it is an easy decision or create urgency or fear of missing out (FG24/1).
- Leave out the ad label on Stories or Reels. Label upfront (FG24/1 para 1.9; FTC Disclosures 101).
- Hide a sponsor behind words like 'collab' or 'thanks'; the FTC says use plain terms such as 'ad' or 'sponsored'.
- Use real client numbers or screenshots without written consent.

Long form is where trust is built: viewers see the numbers on screen, watch for 10 minutes and come back.
Rhythm: One 8-15 minute video a week if it is the anchor, otherwise one every two weeks. Two Shorts a week cut from the long video.
| Format | Share | How a good one is built |
|---|---|---|
| Step-by-step walkthrough with screen share | about 40% | 0:00-0:30: the result and who it is for, with the country named ('a monthly budget in one sheet, for UK pay'). 0:30-1:30: why it matters, in one example. Then 4-6 numbered steps with the numbers on screen. Recap. Template link at the 20% mark and at the end. End screen to the next step video. — Matches how-to searches. Visible progress keeps people watching. |
| Explainer with one real-number example | about 30% | Title is the question ('How does compound interest work?'). Answer in 30 seconds. Mechanism in three parts. One worked example with real numbers. Two common mistakes. A 'when to talk to a regulated adviser' segment. Sources named on screen and a 'last checked' date. — Shows accuracy and expertise, which YouTube and Google both name as quality and trust signals. |
| Deadline video | about 15% | Deadline on screen in the first five seconds (tax filing, tax-year end, open enrolment). A five-item checklist. The common errors. Link to the official page. Publish 4-6 weeks ahead and refresh every year. — Search spikes before deadlines, and the topic returns every year. |
| Money story, consented and anonymised | about 15% | Situation, numbers, what changed, what happened after three months, and one plain line on what is typical versus unusual. — Social proof without false promises. |
What to post about
- Budgeting and cash flow, including irregular income
- Debt payoff
- Emergency fund and saving
- Investing basics (education only, no named products for individuals)
- Tax and deadlines for one country
- Money and relationships
- Tools and templates
Openings that work
- Result plus constraint: 'A monthly budget for an irregular income, in 15 minutes.'
- Number reveal: 'Where $2,500 a month actually goes, line by line.'
- Mistake: 'The three mistakes that keep people paying minimums for years.'
- Deadline: 'Self-employed in the UK? 31 January is closer than you think.'
- Permission: 'You do not need to invest yet. Do this first.'
How people find you here: The title is the question people type. The first 30 seconds answer it. Add chapters. Put the country in the title where rules differ. Put your background in the channel description. Playlists by problem ('get out of debt', 'first investments'). Relevance, engagement and quality are YouTube's stated factors.
How a viewer becomes a client: Free template or calculator in the description and a pinned comment, which leads to the welcome series. Make the offer in the last 20 seconds, not the first minute. Add a low-ticket product once the list is big enough to survey.
Benchmarks: YouTube Partner Program thresholds (YouTube Help): 1,000 subscribers plus 4,000 qualified public watch hours in 12 months, or 10 million qualified Shorts views in 90 days.
Avoid on YouTube
- Promise returns, or show 'I made $X' without proof and a plain statement of what is typical. 'Results not typical' is not enough in the FTC's approach to testimonials (stated in its health-products guidance; the same deception rule applies to money claims, not separately checked). The FTC's influencer guide also says you cannot make claims that need proof you lack.
- Tell a UK audience to buy a named fund, broker, crypto asset or trading app unless you are authorised or an authorised firm has approved the content (FCA FG24/1).
- Give personalised investment advice to individuals, especially paying clients, unless registered: SEC release IA-1092 treats holding yourself out, charging a separate fee, or doing it more than rarely as being 'in the business'.
- Hide an affiliate link or sponsor in the description. Say it in the video and show it (FTC Disclosures 101). In the UK, label content as an ad upfront if you get any payment, including affiliate links (FG24/1, para 1.9).
- Buy views, subscribers or comments: the FTC rule effective 21 Oct 2024 bans fake social-media indicators.

| Format | Share | How a good one is built |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly one-idea email | about 55% | Subject: the number or the question. Line 1: a real situation. Two or three short paragraphs: the idea with a worked example. One action for the next 10 minutes. One link (the guide or the template). Sign-off with a reply question: 'What is your biggest money stress this month?' — Easy to repeat; replies give you next week's topic. |
| Welcome series (5 emails) | about 25% | 1: the free template and what to expect. 2: your best guide. 3: who you are and your rules (education, no tips on named products). 4: a worked case. 5: the low-ticket offer with a plain price and what it does not include. — Turns the first week after sign-up into a first purchase. |
| Seasonal checklist | about 20% | Deadline in the subject. Five-item checklist. Link to the official page. 'Who should talk to an accountant.' — Deadlines are when people open. |
What to post about

How people find you here: A lead magnet on the blog and in every video description. Recommendations and swaps with newsletters of similar size and podcast guesting (not measured here). Ask readers to forward one email to a friend.
How a viewer becomes a client: Template to welcome series to low-ticket product to course or coaching. One button per email. State the price plainly.
Benchmarks: MailerLite 2025 (3.6 million campaigns): business and finance open 43.34%, click 2.37%, click-to-open 7.96%; all industries open 43.46%, click 2.09%, click-to-open 6.81%, unsubscribe 0.22%.
Avoid on Email newsletter
- Emailing people who did not opt in. Keep consent records (UK and EU rules need consent; US rules differ; not re-checked).
- Hype subject lines about markets or crypto; no urgency or fear of missing out (FCA and ASA checklist in FG24/1).
- Affiliate links to regulated products without a clear label. In the UK, an affiliate link is a commercial interest that can bring the post under the financial-promotion rules (FG24/1 para 4.27).

| Screen-record mini tutorial | about 30% | Phone or laptop screen: a spreadsheet formula, an app setting, a bank form. Voiceover in plain words, three steps, result on screen. — Teaches something concrete that the viewer can copy. |
| Reply or stitch with a correction | about 20% | Show the comment or the clip. Correct one point in 20 seconds with the number or the official source. No ridicule of the original. — Rides questions people already ask. |

How people find you here: Say the search phrase in the first three seconds and put it in the on-screen text and the caption. Answer comments with videos so each question becomes searchable.
How a viewer becomes a client: Bio link to the template or newsletter. Pinned comment with the link. Ask viewers to comment a keyword to receive the sheet.
Benchmarks: Rival IQ 2025: TikTok engagement fell 34% across industries; Influencers' TikTok engagement was 36% below the median.
Avoid on TikTok
- Get-rich-quick or 'make money online' promises: unsubstantiated earnings claims are deceptive under the FTC's rules (FTC influencer guide: no claims that need proof you lack).
- Buying engagement: TikTok bans trading services that artificially boost engagement, and the FTC rule effective 21 Oct 2024 bans fake social-media indicators.
- Replying to a stranger's situation with a personal recommendation on investments.

| Format | Share | How a good one is built |
|---|---|---|
| Printable or template pin | about 45% | Image of the template in use, title with the search phrase plus timeframe ('30-day no-spend challenge printable'), one-line benefit, link to the template page. — Pins that show the product answer the planning search directly. |
| Checklist or cheat-sheet pin | about 35% | One checklist (bills to review, year-end tasks) in large text, link to the full guide. — Saved and printed. |

Google and the blog
Core channel. Money is a 'Your Money or Your Life' topic. Google says trust matters most, such content must be accurate and in line with expert consensus, and it wants real bylines that link to the author's background (Google Search Central, Oct 2026). Educators who show real numbers, name official sources and date their pages fit that. The blog also feeds the newsletter and the video channel with search traffic. Never put an invented author or an AI headshot on a finance article; Google calls that deceptive.
| Article | Searches like | How the winners are built |
|---|---|---|
| Step-by-step how-to guide | “how to make a budget”, “how to pay off debt fast”, “how to build an emergency fund”, “how much should I save each month” | Plain answer in the first paragraph. Steps with a worked example in numbers. A template or calculator to download. Country and tax year named. Sources: the regulator or tax authority page. 'Last checked' date. Author box with real background. A short note on when to see an accountant or regulated adviser. |
| Concept explainer | “what is an index fund”, “Roth vs traditional IRA”, “ISA vs pension”, “how does compound interest work” | Definition in one sentence. How it works with one worked example. Who it suits and who it does not. The risks. Official sources. No product recommendation for individuals. |
| Deadline and tax-season page | “self assessment deadline”, “how to file taxes as a freelancer”, “when are quarterly estimated taxes due”, “what to do with a tax refund” | Deadline at the top. Checklist. Common errors. Forms linked to the official page. Update every year at the same address. Publish 6-8 weeks before the deadline. |

One worked example per step. Who to call (employer HR, tax office, debt-advice charity). Template download. |
| Tool or product comparison (affiliate) | “best budgeting apps”, “YNAB alternatives”, “best budget spreadsheet template”, “best savings tracker app” | Affiliate disclosure at the top of the page. February to April: US tax season. March to April: UK tax-year end (5 April; GOV.UK). Late in the year: year-end money moves. Publish 6-8 weeks ahead (Pinterest's own planning advice is about two months). Refresh each page every year and show the date.

The year in this niche
| When | What matters |
|---|---|
| October | UK Self Assessment: registration by 5 October and paper return by 31 October for tax year 2025-26 (GOV.UK, 2026 dates). Back-to-routine budgeting. Start the Black Friday and holiday-spending content. |
| November to December | Black Friday and Cyber Monday spending, no-spend challenges, gift budgets. Year-end money moves such as retirement contributions and charity (not re-checked). UK: submit an online return by 30 December if you want tax collected through your tax code (GOV.UK). US open-enrolment season (not re-checked). Publish the new-year budget content by early December. |
| January | New-year budgets and debt resets, the biggest resolution month for money content (not measured here). UK: online return and tax payment due 31 January 2027 (GOV.UK). US tax forms arrive, so tax-prep checklists (not re-checked). |
| February to April | US tax season: the federal filing deadline falls in mid-April (IRS; not re-checked). UK tax year ends 5 April (the 2025-26 year ended 5 April 2026, GOV.UK), so allowance and pension 'before April' content (not re-checked). |
| April | Financial Literacy Month in the US (not re-checked): offer libraries, credit unions and schools a free workshop. |
| May to August | Graduates and first jobs, summer spending, mid-year money review, back-to-school budgeting in August. US quarterly estimated tax dates for freelancers (not re-checked). |
| September | A second 'fresh start' moment: back-to-routine budgets, new jobs and terms. Plan the October to January calendar. |
Partners who share your audience
- Accountants, bookkeepers and tax preparers: they send clients who need budgeting basics and you send people who need tax work. Strongest in tax season.
- Independent or fee-only regulated financial planners and advisers: your refer-out partner for personal investment advice. It keeps you inside your scope and builds trust.
- Non-profit debt-advice services (for example StepChange in the UK, NFCC members in the US; not re-checked): refer people in serious debt rather than selling them a plan.
- Employers, HR and benefits teams, credit unions, libraries and universities: they host or pay for financial-wellness workshops.
- Other educators of similar size: newsletter swaps, podcast guesting and co-hosted challenges. Disclose any payment.
- Fintech and tool makers: sponsorship or affiliate deals. Label ads upfront; in the UK, check the FCA rules before promoting any regulated product (FG24/1). Choose tools you actually use.
- Financial therapists and counsellors: for clients whose problem is money anxiety, not maths.
Rules that apply
- UK (FCA FG24/1, March 2024): the financial promotion restriction (s21 FSMA) bans communicating, in the course of business, an invitation or inducement to engage in investment activity unless you are authorised, an authorised firm has approved the content, or an exemption applies. A breach is a criminal offence: up to 2 years in prison, an unlimited fine, or both. It reaches communications from outside the UK that can affect UK people.
- UK (FG24/1, paras 4.5 and 4.16-4.27): 'in the course of business' needs only a commercial interest, not a payment from the firm. The FCA's own examples include being paid by the platform for views, promoting to gain followers and bigger brand deals later, using an affiliate link, and steering people to your own investing course or chatroom. The size of your following does not matter. Private groups (Discord, Telegram) and Reddit are covered. Even with no deal, posts about financial products can fall under the restriction.
- UK (FG24/1, para 1.9): the ASA expects you to label content as an ad upfront if you get any payment, including affiliate links. Para 4.8: anyone recommending or suggesting an investment strategy must present it objectively and disclose conflicts (Market Abuse Regulation, Article 20); people who often propose investment decisions and present as experts must disclose more.
- US (SEC release IA-1092, 1987): an investment adviser is a person who, for compensation, is in the business of advising others about securities, or regularly issues reports on them. The advice need not name a specific security: advising a client on investing in securities in general compared with other investments counts. 'In the business' includes holding yourself out as giving investment advice, charging a separate fee for it, or doing it more than rarely. Facts decide, not a 'not financial advice' label. Budgeting and debt-payoff coaching is not advice about securities (our reading, not legal advice). If you charge for personalised investment advice, register or refer out; which regulator depends on size (not read).
- US (FTC): disclose any payment, free product or relationship next to the claim; in video say it and show it; platform tools alone are not enough; you cannot make claims that need proof you lack. Source: FTC Disclosures 101 (Nov 2019).
- US (FTC Consumer Reviews and Testimonials Rule, effective 21 Oct 2024): no fake or bought testimonials, no insider reviews without disclosure, no bought followers or views. AI avatars are not banned as such, but a fake testimonial given by one is covered. Source: FTC Q&A.
- US (FTC principle): present atypical results with a clear statement of what is typical; 'results not typical' is not enough (FTC Health Products Compliance Guidance, 2022). For money results the same deception rule applies (not separately checked). Keep proof and written consent for every 'I paid off $X' story.
- Google (all countries): finance pages are held to an accuracy and trust standard; show a real author with real background; no invented names, AI headshots or false credentials (Google Search Central, Oct 2026).
- Debt advice, credit repair and debt-relief sales are regulated separately in the US and the UK (not verified in this round). A money coach should refer people in serious debt to a non-profit service instead of selling a plan.
- EU: ESMA and national finfluencer rules were not verified in this round. Until checked, apply the UK and US limits to EU audiences and check national rules before promoting any financial product.
What to measure
- Email: new subscribers per month; click rate (MailerLite 2025 business and finance 2.37%, all industries 2.09%); click-to-open (7.96% and 6.81%); unsubscribe (0.22% across industries); replies per send. Do not trust open rate alone: Apple Mail inflates it.
- Lead-magnet conversion: share of site and video visitors who sign up (no sourced healthy range; track your own trend).
- YouTube: returning viewers, average view duration, impressions click-through, subscribers per video, and distance to the YouTube Partner Program thresholds (1,000 subscribers plus 4,000 watch hours).
- Instagram: saves and shares per carousel (the signals Instagram names for Explore).
- Blog: organic clicks and positions for the ten target queries; share of pages with a 'last checked' date in the past 12 months.
- Low-ticket conversion: share of subscribers who buy within 30 days (no sourced range).
- Compliance: every affiliate or sponsored post labelled; a log of claims with their sources; zero regulator or ad-standards complaints.
- Revenue per subscriber.

Questions
Asked about personal finance educators
What is the best marketing channel for personal finance educators?
Instagram, YouTube and Email newsletter. Carousels win here. It is also the cheapest place to…
How often should personal finance educators post on Instagram?
3 posts a week: 2 carousels and 1 Reel cut from the video. Stories 3 days a week with a poll or question box. 15 minutes a day on replies.
Is X worth it for personal finance educators?
Usually not at the start: No source read shows buyers of money education arriving from X. Posts that tip investments are where the FCA's financial-promotion rules bite hardest (FG24/1), and the hour is better spent on video and email.
Which months matter most for personal finance educators?
October: UK Self Assessment: registration by 5 October and paper return by 31 October for tax year 2025-26 (GOV.UK, 2026 dates). Back-to-routine budgeting. Start the Black Friday and holiday-spending content. November to December: Black Friday and Cyber Monday spending, no-spend challenges, gift budgets.
